a survey of the diversity of applications and practices directly associated with methods developed by Rudolf Laban and his colleagues and students which have proliferated and diversified around the world. Laban’s Legacy was produced by Megan Reisel, MA (UCLA-Dance) certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst, IMS ‘97. The interviews were conducted during the years 2000-2001, in England and the USA.

This project was organized to preserve and present the concepts of Laban and his proteges, while helping to promote Laban educators and artists attain broader recognition of their work. Laban’s Legacy has been created without private funding or grants, and proceeds from the sale of this product will be used to continue to develop documentary products that explore Laban’s history and continuing influence.
